The Indigenous

The face paintings of indigenous people serve as a powerful expression of identity, narrating the stories of their communities, battles, and triumphs. These traditions are often ancient and passed down through generations. Among indigenous peoples, many of these paintings also facilitate a spiritual connection with the land, all living beings, and the souls of their ancestors. In this work, I intend to unify these facial paintings with the essence of indigenous identity and heritage.
